He has over 19 years’ experience working in the Oil and Gas sector in the United Kingdom. He joined Technip UK in 2001 as a Geotechnical Engineer and moved on to Acergy UK as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in 2005. He joined Subsea 7 UK in 2007 and held various roles in Subsea 7 including Principal Geotechnical Engineer, Graduate Development Manager and Engineering Manager. He left Subsea 7 in 2014 to join Transocean Subsea as Engineering Director, a role he held just prior to founding RETECH Foundation.

Ronye has a Master of Science in Engineering Geology from Imperial College London. He also holds a Diploma in Engineering Geology from Imperial College London, a Master of Business Administration degree MBA from the University of Oxford UK and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Minna.

Ronye is a Fellow of the British Geological Society and a corporate member of the Institution of civil Engineers. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, a Chartered Geologist and an Associate of Project Management Practitioners and has Level D certification. He is a supervising civil engineer and a reviewer with the institution of civil Engineers.
